I think prices will calm down late this fall, but it really does sound like you found a gem. You have good instincts in looking for something that needs a bit of "care and feeding." Most people don't seem to recognize that opportunity.

Yes, I will love the box. I'll put it in my cupboard with its cousins, the other silver boxes. Nobody ever notices them, but I do love them. When I die, and my kids inherit my collection, they'll sell them on ebay for a fraction of what I paid.
