DJ; RE:" To leverage or not to leverage NOW "

>>I would recommend equities rather than LEAPS, until growth is evident...

>Huh? The statement reads like :"Well, Leaps are too volatile for me in this zero-to-negative-growth market, I prefer good predictable losses, so its equities for me"...

Yeah - 'caught a lotta flak from JT for that one, too (^_^)

Means what it says, DJ - to a conservative, long-term investor, (the context of the conversation that I was having with Berney) I would recommend accumulating (select, BlueChip / Bellwether) equities to core holdings - and refrain from leverage right now.

First thing you taught me, professor, was to wait to LEAP until implied volatility went down.

So, yes, DJ - I do prefer predictable losses in uncertain times.
