i simply fail to understand the violence... it kills the game where skill is required... O.T. I think it is rather simple to understand, It is a contact sport like American football, but when you add the speeds, the forces involved, the use of a stick, checking allowed, a puck moving toward you 100 plus mph. It all makes since to me. Stricter Policing is what needs to be worked on and after this strike I think you will see it. I think to love hockey like many other sports it requires taking the time to learn about it. I lived in Japan for many years and at first thought Sumo wrestling was a joke until I took the time to understand the rules and study it.
