I agree 100%. Garrett should receive high praise for the willingness to do the interview as it sheds light on the inner workings of HFT's. Wall Street Jon. had an article a few months ago in reverence to the billions of dollars being spent running cable across the Oceans to accommodate the unregulated smorgasbord of new HFT shops wanting to go online. I will give credit to Maria on CNBC Thursday for bringing up the subject of HFT's as Knight Capital was imploding. She asked the right questions but no one had any answers. The sad part there is so much money involved the exchanges will continue to implement breakers and gadgets so they can say "we're protecting the investor" till finally one day the entire market blows up. Only after the fact will real regulation come into play. Seems to me in the world of finance everyone is on the take.
