Shane.. Siebel is aware of the problems with salesmen that you discuss and is apparently trying to make their software a tool that will benefit salespersons by giving them more information not forcing them to fill out a lot of forms. Their new products are an attempt to break with past attempts at SFA. There is a demo of Siebel 99 on Siebel www page that can be downloaded but I couldn't get it to function on my computer. (I didn't try very hard - I'm loath to make any changes to a working computer, especially the only one hooked into a cable modem) It's interesting that SEBL was up today. Any high return investment must by it's nature generate a lot of scepticism in it's early stages. I don't know whether SEBL will succeed or not, but I do know that the potential space is huge, at least as big as ERP, and that SEBL has at least a chance of introducing discontinuity into the space. I will hold it as long as the relative strength is OK. BTW, Citrix is aiming directly at the salesmen you mention. It will allow them to use simple reliable machines, updated at the server level, and still call the corporate home with low bandwidth, including cell phones. Lucius
