TVIN 3.90 - this is very good moves as the company is going from being a 1 trick pony to a diversified homeland defense and security company.

GLENN DALE, Md., Mar 08, 2006 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- PureAir Bio-Response Kit is Company's First PAPR Product Entry Into the First Receiver and Hospital Markets

TVI Corporation (TVIN), a global supplier of rapidly deployable first responder systems for homeland security, hospitals, the military, police and fire departments, and public health agencies, today announced it has received National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) approval for its PureAir Bio-Response Kit(TM). The PureAir Bio-Response Kit is a powered air purifying respirator (PAPR) designed by TVI's SafetyTech(TM) subsidiary.

"NIOSH approval of the PureAir system is a substantial achievement for TVI as it affords us an opportunity to target the hospital, healthcare and EMS markets," stated Richard V. Priddy, President and Chief Executive Officer of TVI Corporation. "All of our previous generation PAPRs had been designed for military applications. The hospital, healthcare and EMS markets are very large and growing markets that currently are vastly underserved.

"NIOSH understood the need for this type of product in the marketplace, and worked closely with our SafetyTech personnel to gain rapid approval," said Priddy. "This cooperative effort is reflective of SafetyTech's proven track record with NIOSH for approvals and the excellent relationship that they maintain.

"We have begun to aggressively market the PureAir Bio-Response Kit to the healthcare community," continued Priddy. "The system ensures the protection of hospital, laboratory and clean room staff against biological contaminants. We anticipate that this product line will be a strong contributor to revenues in late 2006."
