Not many dispute that we right now have a Global Warming situation.
What is widely disputed by "not-just-a-few" and certainly not "bribed-by-the-oil-lobby" scientists is that it is Man Made.
That is where the Gore followers have a serious problem: "GW" and "man made GW" are not the same thing. While accepting the data pointing at the former, in no way does that necessarily have to exclude the possibility of the latter being absolute bogus and driven by a large lobby of believers and benefactors of the opportunities thus popping up.

That said, we should keep our heads cool and spend the funds made available to protect us from the consequences of Earth getting warmer in the best possible ways.

Even the (infamous to you guys) Bjorn Lomborg in his later, less provocative works admits, that the data on hand seem indeed to confirm that we currently are in a period of global warming.
But at the same time he points out, that 50 Billion $$$ investment in a better future for humanity can be spent in vastly more efficient ways than advocated by Gore and his believers.

Quite honestly, you ought to read Lomborg's "Cool It". I bet a beer or two (I always honor my bets if lost), that after having read that book you will indeed thank me for pointing it out to you ;)
