AND, (to slowly steer this back around to SUNW), Sun has been a big cable in spanning the 'digital divide'. In the US, John Gage founded NetDay, a grass-roots org with the (nearly complete) mission of wiring all of this nation's schools to the Internet. Through the Sun Foundation and SunEd, Sun is selling low cost and granting no cost zero maintenance SunRay thin client solutions to schools. --- It's something Sun takes to heart at it's core. Scott McNealy has been pounding the table lately about 'content' related to education (globally) instead of some vaugue emphasis on 'technology' and the 'digital divide'. --- Sun is sending small fleets of semi-trucks to the South (US) and elsewhere, training whomever they can in high paying jobs in Java programming and Solaris admin. --- I would say with a good degree of confidence that Sun *aspires to have more 'black' employees, certificants and customers. -JCJ
