Krishna, I have used NT in mission-critical applications. I know people who use NT in mission-critical applications. I beleive it is suitable, based on my experience, and that of people whom I trust, with the caveats that I gave earlier.

I do not beleive that the Standish report fairly represents the capabilities of Windows NT. At the same time, I do beleive that Sun/Solaris is much more suitable in many mission-critical applicationsm particularly where scalability is important.
