I never argued that digital cellular competes with SMR/dispatch.

At $39/75min, Nextel's digital cellular is not competitive with say that of Sprint's. Unlike my opponents in this thread, Nextel has recognized the problem which is why if one wants Direct Connect, one must also buy d.s. from Nextel (Integrated Service).

However, Nextel's standalone cellular remains vulnerable to competition.
