How are things shaping up in the Land of Enchantment?

here's my guess. kerry has surged ahead in the recent
local polls but we've been sending in early ballots
for the caucus for four weeks already. i suspect that
at least 60% of the vote total will come from early
voter balloting. dean was the clear frontrunner here
up until the last two weeks... so he'll benefit from
that. my guess is that kerry will win, but by less
than 10 percentage points... which is not nearly as
well as he'd do if there were no early votes.

we'll find out tomorrow night.

...and this is a real lesson for the general election --
it is important to peak in october when people actually
start voting -- then carry that momentum through november
2nd.
