Rand,

I believe Martin Armstrong is quite good. You can get his short term projections from the PEI Website (www.pei-intl.com) under "global market view". Everyone should read his view of the EMU. One of his discussions of its impact can be found on the Website under the "Crash of 1997". However, I think his view that digital cameras will take over the photography market is way off the mark, at least, for the foreseeable future. Perhaps they will make a serious dent during the life time of my grandchildren.

I lurk on this thread and appreciate the comments of all of the posters. I'm hoping that Silver will do well on its own, at least until gold comes back (perhaps in the second half of 98). I don't have any input on whether the price of Silver is being manipulated or who may be manipulating it. But, it seems reasonable that much of its volatility is the result of rumors of manipulation if not manipulation itself.
