RCA is a major investor in Gemstar Thomson owns about 3% of Gemstar-TVG. FWIW, Gemstar was in on Thomson's IPO but in a small way from what I have heard. Microsoft, Alcatel, NEC and DirecTV each owns about 7% of Thomson. Regards Stew
