VSE Unit Awarded GSA Environmental Advisory Services Contract
  ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 25 /PRNewswire/ -- VSE Corporation (VSE) (Nasdaq: VSEC) reported that its subsidiary Energetics Incorporated (Energetics) was recently awarded a contract to provide Environmental Advisory Services to Federal government agencies under the General Services Administration Federal Supply Services Schedules Program. The contract, which was effective as of December 27, 1999, is for five years and represents potential revenue of up to $2 million, depending on customer requirements and funding availability. The contract includes an option for an additional period of five years on expiration of the base period  
  Environmental advisory services offered by Energetics through the GSA contract include environmental planning, compliance, and training services. These services are distinct from environmental engineering, design, and cleanup, and do not include any services for excavating or cleanup of hazardous waste sites. Under the contract, Energetics services might include environmental training courses, preparation of environmental impact statements, assistance with environmental compliance issues, development of environmental management systems, and services related to historic and archeological preservation. A first for Energetics, this is the fourth contract awarded to VSE and subsidiaries since 1999 under the GSA Federal Supply Services Schedules Program.
