FWIW, AAII (american association of individual investors) members rate Scottrade the best. I have looked at interactive brokers, bank of america, fidelity and ameritrade. From the online data I have a hard time finding any detail. Afraid of jumping from bad worse. None of the firms (except bank of america) have an office here; I would like someone I can look in the eye and complain. I still haven't been able to telecon e-trade and talk to someone. No transactions from Harris since 1/13/2006. Made one buy and found the transaction in one place but not another. Hopefully things will get straightened out by the end of the month??? Dave
