Hi Chen; I just started tracking SYQT last week, a flag popped
up on the short interest, more and more I'm studying the short
intrest effect ( were there is a lot of it )..and I'v not drawn
any hard conculsions yet except it really does have a lot of effect.
It like diluting the stock on one end , and doing a buy back the
other. When the stock gets fully diluted..( very high short interest) no matter the price it's over sold, and even TA charts
might not show it till it's to late. Troble with my data is,
so far I only get the full listing of Nasdaq stocks, and only
the top 100 of NYSE..the Data I get is at best 3 weeks old when
I get it, stuff stops arond 10th..sent in on 15th..compiled on
23 or 24th and turned to the public 25..or as late as the 27th
so you have to extrapolate and do some guessing between times
but marking a chart with the data at the 10th of each month and
noting the the short interest increase/decrease over time vs the
price of the stock gives some very usefull info.
Man it's a lot of work ! <G>
