I am a swing trader for the most part. I like to keep my monies working for me. I usually set a first price goal based on charting and sell a portion at that point then the rest in steps moving up. Of course, if there is news or mo-mo I will do whats appropriate....including selling into any major spikes. I usually exit well before a stock goes parabolic like SIRI did but at least I am guaranteed a profit without the worry. Been doing this for several years now (about 9) pretty successfully.
