One wonders whether people of the same sex wanting to marry are equally committed to the obligations they are assuming: Divorce, alimony, taxes, child custody, inheritance, and so forth.

In custody fights, the mother in heterosexual marriage usually has an advantage whether it is fair or unfair.

In same-sex marriage, how would this be covered since there is no way to differentiate?
