Tony, Re: INTC in the 70's
Thks for OT post. E-mailed you.
As I was driving to bank at 3:30 EST, 1st heard of correction, then stop in trading, then hype, then 550 drop in DOW, etc. I posted a few weeks ago on the "Wealth" board about people ignoring the recent volatile major drops at their peril. I Wasn't selling (have lots (for us) of INTC in ret. plans), but wasn't buying until after Thanksgiving; Almost dipped into CPQ last week, held off, now will see how dust settles in 3- 4 weeks. Those on margin, traders ignore irrationality for a sell-off. Some realize cash is nice to hold onto. Too many margin calls, fund redemptions caused just what some thought never could happen. The pigs will , at some point, ALWAYS get slaughtered. The good news?---Most of us in Self-directed retirement plans with 15yrs. & more time horizon look at this with amusement. Last word--INTC down 5"+", AMD down 5"+". Who really got slammed here? Albert, that's who.
