For thousands of years, China did see itself center of the world, and didn't take foreign "naval" power seriously. They bite the bullets. Now, most Chinese do not have this egocenter thinking anymore. So most youngsters are eager to travel abroad and actually come back home, since the growth is there. For me, lifestyle abroad is too boring.
