I tried a LCD ..... and didn't think the 17 inch was as good as my CRT had been so took it back.

Suma: The most common cause of inferior LCD displays is having your Windows Display Properties set to anything but the monitor's native resolution. Typically this is 1280x1024. Anyone considering purchasing an LCD should be planning to use the native resolution, or else stick with CRT. If the 17in display at 1280x1024 is too small for your eyes, better get a 19in at the same resolution.
