Caspian Sea status to be discussed in Kazakhstan

A special working group on developing a convention on the legal status of the Caspian Sea will discuss the Caspian Sea issue at a meeting on June 9 to 10 in Astana (Kazakhstan). According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Viktor Kalyuzhny, who is the presidential representative for regulating the legal status of the Caspian Sea, will take part in the meeting from Russia's side. Representatives of the five Caspian states, namely Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Iran and Turkmenistan are expected to participate in the meeting.
