Barbara Kingsolver, author and Tucson, AZ resident, writes of her reaction when her child came home from school with a request to wear red, white and blue to school after the WTC atrocity. She gets a little carried away and somehow gets around to: "In other words, the American flag stands for intimidation, censorship, violence, bigotry, sexism, homophobia, and shoving the Constitution through a paper shredder? Who are we calling terrorists here?"
