Hello All......I'm new to the KNIC thread, as the Boi above me just recently brought this gem to my attention. From the DD I have performed so far...as well as ascertained from reading posts on this and other threads.....KNIC shows dramatic upward potential. It is basically a "cash cow" in my opinion, with a golden balance sheet. I feel that due to the uncertainties of market volatility...KNIC provides a more than adequate safe haven, along with positive earnings and growth potential ( at it's core level alone ).
Pure Energy Corporation (PEC) is a nice little "bonus" which can literally explode onto the oil/gas market.....if marketed correctly. Be aware, however, that ANY "tampering" with a "good thing"...ie.gasoline....is Frowned upon by the MAJOR OIL/GAS co's, even if it is cheaper to produce as well as being more profitable to them. I'm not trying to imply that the MAJOR's will try to stop Pure Energy dead in it's tracks...however there seems to be a monopoly going on with "Gasoline" as being the standard in the industry. I am uncertain as to the chemical composition of Pure Energy's fuel, however, I hope..for their sake, that it is petroleum based...so as not to step on the toes of the MAJOR oil refineries. We must remember that "change" is not an overnight thing. IT's not as simple as waking up one day 3-6 months from now, driving to ANY gas station and topping off the tank of your Dodge Viper with some Pure Energy fuel. There are a myriad of factors involved in attemting to "modify" the current standard.....and an equal or greater number of obstacles to face in doing such. Either which way....Pure Energy's on the right track. And if their new fuel meets DOE standards and is somehow approved <making the sign of the cross>....then it will only ADD to the revenues being generated by KNIC. This is a good thing!!
As far as the other acquisitions ( QVC, Jewelery, perfume....and the overall retail market)...KNIC has proven profitability. At it's CORE, it is strong.
I'll be watching this stock closely. Perhaps I'll hold a position if it dips down to the high 5's.....although it may not. I, unlike many of these "hypers" do not have a crystal ball.
Good luck to us all in 1997. Let's keep this thread moving.
Anybody got a broker who's heard some "inside" stuff from a guy that works in the mailroom at KNIC, who knows the secretary of the Janitor who dumps the garbage out of the guy's pail, who's daughter babysits the CEO's 7 yr old compulsive lying nephew, Clifford, who is well hated by his uncle L.L. Knickerbocker? I've heard that this source knows for a fact that Microsoft's gonna buy KNIC for ten gazillion dollars on January 12, 1997. Everyone mark it on your calender............yawn.....yawn.......zzzzzz......zzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Regards,
