Neil. ================== August 24, 1999 VSE Symbol: AMC NEWS RELEASE PRIVATE PLACEMENT CLOSES Abacus Minerals Corporation announces that the non-brokered private placement, previously announced on June 7, 1999, closed today for proceeds of $85,000. Each unit consists of one common share and one common share purchase warrant of the Company. Each Warrant is exercisable for a period of two years at $0.20 to acquire one common share. The common shares and any shares issued pursuant to the exercise of warrants will be subject to a four month hold expiring December 19, 1999.
