Frankly what you call "Long Term" isn't

Anyone who invested in this stock long term would have bought in between 52 and 75 before the stock split. Those people would be absolute fools to not have taken their profit. The profits can then be reinvested.

Long term doesn't mean holding on forever --- unless you are recommending people be satisfied with a 7% annual return, roughly the long term performance of the market.

Sure Intel will do better than that but only greedy pigs do not take a 100% profit. Moreover the philopshy you propound, that the stock will go up and up and up is totally irresponsible advice for the small investor.

You should be a broker.
