Karen, Wall St. was involved in an incessant anti-recession campaign for a year. Then last November when they could deny the obvious no longer what did they do - declare that the recession had started in March and therefore was about over.

Frankly I don't know how much U.S. Govt. statistics are worth. For safety's sake I'd discount them heavily like all other reporting in this totally unregulated market.
