Ed: Puma Technology Rated New 'Buy' at Wedbush Morgan news.com On another note: I noticed reading a PUMA July 28th Press Release " PUMA TECHNOLOGY TO ACQUIRE SOFTMAGIC CORPORATION " that they mention that they will be taking a one time charge against earnings. So why the big surprise this week when they announced earnings lower then expected. One Time Charge against earnings to acquire Softmagic was pre announced. In fact, what they are going to do is write off the purcahse as on going R&D. That would give them a larger Tax right off, ie: Lower tax's paid. On the Yahoo message board there is some talk of a possably Buy Out. You willl have to read though the posting to understand how several come to this possable conclustion.
