Birch Mountain (BMD.V) is taking a huge hit. I've followed it periodically and bought some for the first time today. I'm not an expert on all the issues affecting their start-up Alberta limestone business, but I do know that there is massive pent-up demand for infrastructure building in Alberta that should provide a strong market for their material for many years. In addition, given that the stock is at a 52 week low and the end of the year is approaching, my guess is that a lot of the selling is tax and panic-related, meaning that it may be getting oversold.
