I was thinking of buying a hotel trust but have backed off. The tourism industry here is hurting. Business is way down so much so that even the buskers aren't making any money. Had a call from a hotel in Vancouver where I'd stayed on business some time ago. Offered me a free room for the weekend. Didn't have any business there so I said no but if they're offering free rooms, they've got to have a really high vacancy rate.
