Mary, You really have to do something to help me out. Just check if your hard disk is spinning (if you are saving file locally). The system may just be swapping, not dead. If you work with large files in Photoshop, a lot of memory makes all the difference. Try 128 MB if you are using 80MB files + stuff running in the beckground. Joe
