Carl, thanks for the background. I barley have the time to keep up with the daily posts since I started reading them, and clearly don't have the time to read 30K+ posts to gain the history. It is pretty easy to read these posts and figure out who has an axe to grind and who doesn't. I only know that to be successful one has to not hang on to bullish or bearish views forever. With things being so negative now, I am just trying to understand if there is anything that might change the current views and make these stocks something people will want to buy in 3 - 6 months. I don't have an engineering background, so I can't begin to contribute to any deep technical discussions. However, I recently read something that seemed to make sense regarding the supply / demand picture and the closing 16MB lines. This person indicated that while demand / supply is out of balance now, that this might not be the case when the 16MB fabs begin closing, as these fabs will not be competitive. This, plus bit growth, plus the consolidation / closures of fabs in general, may just mean that they (MU) will begin making money some day relatively soon??? And of course, you know that as soon as Mr. K speaks positively on MU, it will be up 25%. I wouldn't want to be short on that day!
