thecow or anyone-

I just noticed that my CPU is being recognized by my system as running at a slower speed than before. It's a 1.0 ghz Athlon (2001 model) on an Abit KT7A motherboard. I just noticed on bootup that on the first screen it shows up as 750mhz. Norton system info confirms this. I suppose I could go into the BIOS and change the setting. My question is what could have caused this; I don't know how long it's been that way.
