US Health care 2023.

My Drs decided I needed a procedure. As an outpatient it could be scheduled in 2 weeks. As an inpatient I could get it the next morning. So I was checked into the hospital overnight. Even though I was fine, my vitals were normal.

I mentioned my good condition to the hospitalist who was doing the intake. She looked at me and blushed a little (I think) and said "I'm just a tiny piece of a much bigger puzzle."

I should say I am grateful to my Drs for gaming the system to get me the care I needed. But what a waste.
