Last I looked Abitibi was still up around .56 ann with a private placement complete, the boys are going to rock ... Band Ore just released this today & as always will help Abitibi. TSE SYMBOL: BAN FEBRUARY 18, 1997 Infill Drilling Program Continues to Enhance Thorne Property TORONTO, ONTARIO--Band-Ore Resources Ltd. (the "Company") is pleased to announce initial assay results from the recently announced $6.0 million, 92,000 metre, 1997 drilling program on the Company's 100% owned Thorne property in Timmins, Ontario. The focus of this drilling program is to determine size, continuity, geometry and grade of the Golden River Zone mineralization so that an independent mining engineering firm will be able to estimate an inferred resource as soon as possible. The following are significant new assay results from recently completed drill holes: /T/ TH-129 0.42 ounces gold per ton (14.4 g/t) over 3.3 m (10.8 Ft.) TH-132 0.21 ounces gold per ton (7.2 g/t) over 4.6 m (15.1 Ft.) TH-135 0.03 ounces gold per ton (1 g/t) over 11.0 m (36.1 Ft.) TH-136 0.40 ounces gold per ton (13.7 g/t) over 4.0 m (13.1 Ft.) TH-139 0.03 ounces gold per ton (1 g/t) over 13.5 m (44.3 Ft.) TH-141 0.27 ounces gold per ton (9.2 g/t) over 1.7 m (5.6 Ft.) TH-143 1.57 ounces gold per ton (53.7 g/t) over 2.0 m (6.6 Ft.) /T/ Management is extremely pleased with the assay results received from over 180 holes drilled on the Golden River Deformation Zone in the last 12 months that cover a drill indicated strike length of approximately 5.2 km across the Thorne Property. This evidence further supports management's view that one or more multi-million ounce gold deposits may exist on this extensive land package.
