This site has spent time and money climbing to the top and it shows. New features and functionality abound at Expedia.com this quarter. The implementation of services such as the hotel price matcher, flight price matcher and fare calendar gave the site the boost it needed. Best of all these cool new features produce positive easy to use results. Key Benefits Senior, children`s, and infant`s fares are easily distinguisable. The flight price matcher allows customers to request thier own fare price and if Expedia.com finds a lower fare in the process it will offer that before taking the customer`s original request. Key Shortfalls Cruises and vacation packages are available through third-party relationships and aren`t as easy to access as they should be. Once a customer leaves the site to research a vacation package it is difficult to navigate back to Expedia`s home page. Maps take on a life of their own here. Customers can link to Expedia`s proprietary maps, but then the original home page changes to the map home page; a must change snafu.
