Christopher,

I just moved, was extruded to actually, XP Pro. I went to a book store and sat on the floor and scanned all the XP Pro help books until I found one I felt comfortable with. I chose Chris Fehily's Microsoft Windows XP published by Peachpit Press, Berkeley, CA.

I find it very helpful and not condescending like the ...for Dummies books. It's clear, concise with a good table of contents and index. $20.00 at B&N. Check it out.
