I would first say that the goal is to do ones research and attempt to find value in tech stocks with great potential that are beaten down for no or transitory reasons. I first got involved with ASDV at the $17 level. The stock was literally taken out and shot as it dropped from the 40's down to $6.

The company has real customers, it is executing well and it simply went back to it old high's and a little more. Then it became clear to some on the thread that ASDV was an unrecognized B2B play and all the rest is history as it is over $100 now.

There are so many good old stocks like ASDV out there that people over look when they are down. The extra bonus is that these older stocks have options/leaps available and the risk reward ratio/leverage available is phenomenal. To name a few, companies like:
APPL NOVL PLMD CAIS PRTL CYMI AMAT WIND good moves in already. Pull them up on a two year chart.
PAIR PCMS LGND RTHM on the way back/up.

The keys in part are to:
1. buy before stocks become "fashionable"
2. ID key sectors, then id some of the better companies in those sector and buy before the crowds. broadband/specialty semiconductors, B2B, wireless, biotech, and fuel cells for the brave...place yourself in the path of progress and you will ride the waves comfortably.
