I'm curious if you've had bad experiences with EFAX and how you make out with the new program that you install. I've found EFAX to be a great service. The major advantage to me is having it on a wireless laptop. I don't need to find a fax machine or a telephone wire to fax. It basically goes over my broadband wireless connection. I receive faxes effortlessly and they are stored on the PC. I pay for the service about 10/month and that provides me with a local number with area code as well as a voice mail. Overall it's been very reliable although a few busy times, people were unable to get through but I suppose that happens with other aspects of today's telephone digital network.
