The plum trees finally started blooming Mon. Late this year...

Mine are also late this year, and are blooming now. I square dance (will be leaving soon to dosey-do) with a weather guy. In his 80s, he's been keeping weather data for over five decades. He says this last January was a record cold month. At first, I questioned that, because both the better half and I had considered it to be a mild winter. But thinking about it more carefully, I realized that while January hadn't had any sever cold snaps, it hadn't had any balmy periods either - so the average remained low. Probably explains the late plum bloom.

Part of me says this is going to be a nice long spring...

I use St. Pats Day as my boundary day for frost. When weeding is fun, you know something is odd.
