That was a rare occurrence and imo not much of one as the comp lost about 6% in March 02. In the vast majority of cases the vix rises as the market declines. But let's go with your premise, assume the comp declines 6% or so from here as the vix declines would you consider that a significant drop after the run up since March 11? Doesn't seem like that would be much to me. LR
