I went to do what you suggested, and notice that although there was a "basic rescue" option, i couldn't bullet it.

Anyway, it said it would take 3 floppies and "boot to DOS," and since I haven't a clue what that is, I'd really prefer the default zip option, which it says will "boot to Windows," which I have.

Also: do you happen to know the answer to the question How do I tell whether a zip has been used or not? And also, if I has, can I use it anyway, sort of like "taping over"?

Thanks for the help.

(Maybe there is a disadvantage to the zip option I don't know, and you could explain it to me? Sorry I have been such a baby about learning the computer, I've had one long enough to have gotten smarter.)
