Just a question to all. One of the things that would worry me if I were a shareholder is that AOL's content is built on a proprietary software engine. I.e., it's not html so I can't access it with any up-to-date browser. I find that to be a delivery flaw; and would not be surprised to see AOL tackle this issue by switching over to HTML eventuall (gradually for the sanity of their employees and customers).

Any thoughts on this? I really think this is a weakness that could hurt them, and bring real returns to anyone shorting them (at the right time, which is likely not now).

I am admittedly a web person, use the sites I visit with good efficiency, appreciate hyperlinking with the best of them. I've used AOL at times, now and then. And I can't bring myself to go there rather than the web. Does anybody agree that their delivery could pose a significant weakness, or is it just my opinion as a web-comfortable user?
