<<We all should constantly monitor and question our investment judgement>>thank you for your educated and inforamtive post. i believe and have read your points before--but you provided a great summary of why i am also a LONG TERM investor in checkfree. here is my question--posed to me by a CEO OF A WELL KNOWN WEB COMPANY. the tech exists for companies to bill us DIRECTLY and bypass ckfr. obviously this might pose complex technical questions initially, but as the web develops, might this not be possible?. please tell my the technical or financial reason why we could not be billed and banked directly, WITHOUT a third party. remember, that many people are beginning to pay bills now on the web in this way.
