Yes, I was kidding over there on the Can bank thread, what I don't know about Colombia would fill volumes, have never known any colombianos well. The country certainly gets some bad press, and investors will inevitably be leery of corruption, which is somewhat endemic in Iberoam‚rica for all that they cry reform, and which I think Standard and Poor is alluding to in their explanation of 'pi' ratings in this release biz.yahoo.com ... or maybe not, now that I read it more thoroughly ....quite an upbeat comment "Sound credit practices, good regulation and supervision, and continued liberalization are some of the financial system's strengths."
