The country certainly gets some bad press, and investors will inevitably be leery of corruption, which is somewhat endemic in Iberoam‚rica for all that they cry reform, and which I think Standard and Poor is alluding to in their explanation of 'pi' ratings in this release biz.yahoo.com ... or maybe not, now that I read it more thoroughly ....quite an upbeat comment "Sound credit practices, good regulation and supervision, and continued liberalization are some of the financial system's strengths."
