James, thanks for starting this thread. I was hoping to get involved in Ga Bard's "OTC shell search and DD" thread at: www3.techstocks.com but he has now moved on to post in his own more general board. I have invested in a few companies on the private side that have done reverse mergers. For the most part I've done pretty well given the immediate increase in valuation. I'm now evaluating findings shells to invest in before merger announcements but understand the riskiness involved and don't have enough knowledge yet to play that game. I'm currently investing in a private company that will soon do a reverse merger: www3.techstocks.com The company is actively involved in talks but hasn't reached an agreement with a merger candidate yet.
