And the old "more than 50% ownership by someone who has no particular interest in cashing out any time soon" -- syndrome ... does not help either. This never seems to matter with companies like New York Times or Washington Post (for whatever reason). I guess we need someone like Warren Buffett to declare that Alico is : "Great, and it's great, and -- by the way, did I mention that it is great ?" (This actually was stated by Phillip (?) Carrett (sp. ?), who (I think) finally died at age 100 or so (a year or two ago)). (He was a famous "value buyer," and loved Alico stock). Jon.
