Thanks qveau, I was getting tired of all the geo-political crap myself. It's understandable though since people would rather focus on anything besides qcom down here.

I myself was pleasantly surprised by that nice pop at the end that coincided with the Sprint press release. Think that is great news from Sprint and surely made the shorts and ABN AMRO think twice.

Interestingly enough, today I received a little magazine from Sprint PCS in the mail. It appears to be a new publication that Sprint has started to promote some of their services to their customers. On the cover is a picture of the new Sanyo color LCD phone, that can download photos. Pretty cool. But what was really great is an article inside the magazine entitled, "3 Reasons You'll Love 3G: Multifunctionality, Multitasking, and Major Value". At the end of the article is little progress report on Sprint's 3G plans and mentions the testing they have been doing with qcom and samsung.

So it seems that Sprint is getting a start already in promoting 3G, getting the public ready for new phones and new services. Finally someone is using their brains and marketing the new technology. I know this is minor in the greater scheme of things but I think it shows that Sprint really does get it as they should. They even have this new program here in LA--Education Connection Program. It gives phones to teachers, so they can promote safety in classrooms, so the next time a 12 year-old busts into the classroom with an Uzi and starts shooting up the place the teacher will have a nice new Sprint PCS CDMA phone to call 911 and save some lives.
