Hi rruff, I looked for you post on the Kitchen thread, but couldn't find it after a quick glance. Will look for it more thoroughly when I get a chance. The tech looks very promising right now, although despite my EE degree, I won't claim to know a thing about electro-optics. Just a hunch that this is one to be hung on to with all the associated disclaimers regarding risk...
