CANADIAN OVERSEAS PETROLEUM GRANTS SHARE OPTIONS

Canadian Overseas Petroleum Ltd. has granted 7.6 million options, under its stock option plan, to purchase common shares at an exercise price of 59 cents per share. The options are for a five-year term, and have been awarded to directors, senior management and employees.
